Branded o Generic?

Madalas pag bumibili ako sa (isang sikat na) drug store, tinatanong ako:  Branded o generic?

Sa pagkakaalam ko, lahat naman ng binebenta nilang gamot eh branded at lahat ng gamot ay may generic name. So bakit pa nila ako tinatanong?

Siguro, gusto nila akong magkaroon ng impression na yung mas mahal na gamot eh “branded” (and therefore mas effective/reliable) at yung mumurahin eh “generic”.

Ang tamang tanong, sa palagay ko ay: Mura o mahal na brand?
